   No blatant pop culture reference, the bug thing is a slow result of the alien parasite. I wouldn’t say his brains were eaten, though.

   I’ve sort of been beaten to it, but I was going to suggest that this could theoretically be tied in with the current Nolans summer camp storyline!

   I mean, except for the whole takes-place-several-years-in-the-future thing.
